Why use groups?

Instead of dealing with dozens or hundreds of individual objects separately, grouping lets you treat multiple objects as a single unit - making it much easier to move, rotate, scale, or modify them together. This hierarchical organization also helps maintain scene clarity, as related objects can be collapsed into a single group in the outliner. Groups are particularly useful for applying uniform changes across multiple objects, managing object visibility, and creating reusable asset collections that can be easily duplicated or referenced elsewhere in your project.

Group: This operator parents selected objects or groups to a new empty object. Set the location/rotation of the newly created empty object using the redo popup panel.

Streamlined Group Selection: Select single or multiple hierarchies with ease using blenders built in select hierarchy tool, hotkey: "[" to select up the hierarchy chain.

Add To Group: Select the objects you want to add, then select a group OR any object contained within the target group and run the operator.

Remove From Group: Removes the selected group or objects from the hierarchy.

Dissolve Group: Dissolves the selected group (keeping the children within the same existing hierarchy). If you want to dissolve all the groups down the chain of hierarchy, enable the "Dissolve Children" checkbox in the redo pop up panel. All objects that were contained within the dissolved groups will be automatically selected afterwards.

Preview Children: With this setting enabled, when any group is selected it will automatically select the children objects. Makes visualizing the contents of groups very easy.

Group Visibility: Toggles the visibility of any group/empty objects in your scene that contain children.

Group Size: This setting controls the size of the empty object created when any objects are grouped.
